klipMedical, an industry leader in Electronic Health Record (EHR) in the country, has been awarded ambulatory modular certification (ONC-ATCB 2011/2012) for EHR by Drummond Group.

WOODLAND HILLS, CA, August 04, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- klipMedical, a wholly owned subsidiary of Cortiss LLC an industry leader in Electronic Health Record (EHR) in the country, has been awarded ambulatory modular certification (ONC-ATCB 2011/2012) for EHR by Drummond Group, an Office of the National Coordinator (ONC) Authorized Testing and Certification Body (ATCB). According to CCHIT, klipMedical's product meets the Certification Commission's electronic health record (EHR) criteria for office-based use. The Commission - a private, nonprofit organization - is the Recognized Certification Body in the United States for certifying health information technology products.

klipMedical's EMR is ONC-ATCB 2011/2012 compliant and has been certified for EHR by Drummond Group, an ONC-ATCB approved to certify any complete or modular EHR both ambulatory and inpatient, in accordance with the applicable certification criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services. This certification does not represent an endorsement by the Department of Health and Human Services or guarantee the receipt of incentive payments. KlipMedical version 2.1 was Stage 1 certified on April 28, 2011. The ONC certification ID number is 04282011-5032-1

"If you're considering a new EMR solution, there's no time like the present," said Michael Nourani, Founder of klipMedical. "A recent article stated that the dependence on monolithic EHR products; with well defined features that are presumably comprehensive, has kept health care IT expensive, difficult to implement, use and maintain. Doctors are looking for a solution that will provide a path to the stimulus cash. klipMedical provides a cutting edge technology to address these antiquated concepts and at the same time deliver the incentives of being a Meaningful Use provider."

As part of the federal government's HITECH mandate, eligible providers can qualify for up to $44,000 in Medicare incentives if they demonstrate Meaningful Use of a certified EHR system. In a practice with three eligible providers, the incentive would total $132,000 over five years.

"Developing the next generation of truly innovative and contemporary IT infrastructures has been an invigorating experience," said Michael Nourani. "klipMedical is leading the technological wave of adaptability, ease of use and flexible architectures."
