    NEW YORK, NY, September 13, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Christopher Flach releases his new film Olek "bad artists imitate, good artists steal" -- a short film that explores the artists' work and her creative process..

An uplifting, faced paced, not-for-profit, and educationally driven documentary, the film couchettes several of the artists key works during her New York residency, including the Wall Street Bull, the Jonathan Levine and Christopher Henry shows, and her tribute to Yoko Ono in Time Square.

About Olek

Olek was born Agata Oleksiak in 1978 in Poland. In 2000, she received a Bachelor degree in Cultural Studies from Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan, Poland, and relocated to New York City, where she is currently based. Olek's work has been exhibited in galleries, museums and public spaces worldwide, and featured in numerous publications such as The New York Times, New York Magazine, Time Out NY, Village Voice, CNN, ABC News, CBS News and NBC News. Olek is the recipient of awards including the Ruth Mellon Award for sculpture in 2004, In Situ Artaq award (France) in 2011, and a grant in 2011 from the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council (LMCC) for performance in public space. Olek's residencies have included Sculpture Space in 2005, Instituto Sacatar (Brazil) in 2009 and AAI-LES in 2010. In 2008, Olek was the winner of the Apex Art competition, which aired on PBS. In 2010, the artist was commissioned by the Brooklyn Museum of Art for a one-day interactive performance installation. In 2012, Olek will be part of the 40 Under 40 exhibition at the Smithsonian, for which her entire crocheted studio apartment (measuring 16 x 14 x 8.5 feet) will be exhibited.

About Christopher

Christopher was born in New York City, he received a Bachelor of Fine Arts, from Marietta College and a Phd in Psychology from Sayrbook Institute in San Francisco, California. After co-founding Martha Angus Inc. and Angus Caravelli Inc., he relocated to New York City, where he is currently based. Christopher's work has been exhibited in galleries, museums and public spaces worldwide, and featured in numerous publications such as The New York Times, Oprah Magazine, House Beautiful, and Elle Decor. Christopher has participated in several film festivals including the Best in New Media Film Festival (Los Angeles) in 2011. Christopher's internships have included Guggenheim Museum, the Floating Foundation of Photography, the International Center of Photography. His film "Madeleine Castaing" which has aired in the Untied States and Europe has honored him international recognition as a Filmmaker and Director. Currently, the artist is invited by the The Miami Arts Program, for a one-night, 24 hour hour, video performance installation for "Sleepless in Miami" -- 2011
