Malaga Seals a Deal to Sell Culture and Interior

The agreement with the operator Ramblers Holidays anticipates a tourist package that combines urban tourism and the mountains.

MALAGA, SPAIN, November 13, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Malaga's town hall exhibitor maintained the frenetic rhythm yesterday during the first day of the World Travel Market (WTM) in London. The first outcomes have already resulted in sealed deals. The Mayor of Malaga, Francisco de la Torre, came to an agreement with the operator, Ramblers Worldwide Holidays, who contemplate the commercialization of a tourist package that combines the capital's cultural and urban tourism with the natural park of Los Montes' interior offer.

The new product will allow the tourists to enjoy two overnight stays in hotels in the city and another two in the Montes Natural Park. The Economy and Tourism Councillor, Carolina Espana, the area's General Director, Francisco Quereda and David Kay, in charge of the tour operator's products, were present at the agreement signing.

The best way to make the most out of this new tourist package, whether it's the mountains you choose or the city, is to rent a car and have that freedom of moving around and visiting as much as possible without having to depend on public transport that can limit your vacations and can, consequently, be a hassle. At car hire Malaga airport you can choose from a wide range of modern vehicles to suit all tastes or needs and always at the lowest rates possible.

Catalogue

This agreement has been formalised after the inspection visits from the English operator's responsibles, that intend to commercialize it in the company's catalogue as well as on the website. In other words, the product will be present in the catalogue's reissue in Autumn 2012. Furthermore, Ramblers Worldwide Holidays has included Spain in the worldwide destinations catalogue 'The World's More Beautiful on Foot', that shows the alternatives that combine stays of purely natural and rural content with shorter cultural stays in destinations such as Venice, Istanbul, Rome, Madrid or Barcelona, and now Malaga.

The mayor expressed satisfaction with this agreement, that is included in the proposals that the main British operators are demanding in this WTM.

Also, yesterday, Quereda had a meeting with the managers of British Airways, to whom he proposed the need to link Malaga with Heathrow. The company explained that due to the loss of international operations for the Costa del Sol's capital, they transferred them to Gatwick as the airline has more passengers at this terminal as it is more popular.
