This will be the inaugural event and will feature a cross-section of both established and emerging art and crafts experts.
 
Everything on display will be up for sale, with paintings, printmaking, jewellery, mixed media work, sculptures and photography among the items on show.
 
The event is already underway and will run until Saturday December 10th, with exhibitors including Karen Donnellan, Darek Fortas, Elizabeth Archbold and Rachel Swan.
 
Admission is free and visitors can view the works between 10:00 and 18:00 GMT every day apart from Sunday.
 
The exhibition is being held in Gallery 1 and all submissions were considered carefully by a selection panel of specialists, including Ann Mulrooney, the curator at the National Craft Gallery.
 
Rua Red was opened in 2009 following an investment of nearly EUR10 million (GBP8.6 million) in cultural amenities by the South Dublin County Council.
