Saginaw, TX, Auto Repair Shop Famous for Free Diagnostics Wins 2011 BBB Integrity Award

When a car or truck starts making a funny noise, the check engine light comes on or the AC stops blowing cold, many Saginaw locals drive it over to 2J's Automotive. Since 2004, the family owned auto repair shop has been diagnosing car problems for free.

"We don't charge a penny to run computer diagnostics or to explain what the codes mean," said Jay Tims, co-owner of 2Js. "All along the road where my shop is are other car repair shops that charge between $60 and $80 for the same diagnostic," said Jay.

Free auto diagnostics, up-front estimates and an A+ Better Business Bureau rating have helped earn 2J's Automotive the 2011 Integrity Award from the Fort Worth BBB. The Integrity Award recognizes firms or individuals whose business practices and community involvement exemplify the BBB's mission and principles.

This year's award was given at a BBB luncheon at Billy Bob's Texas on October 26. Janice Tims, sales manager of 2J's, shared one of the secrets of the Saginaw auto mechanic shop's customer service program with prior Integrity award winners and business owners in the Fort Worth and surrounding area. "All visitors to our Saginaw auto repair shop get a follow up call from me within a few days of the visit, asking if they were 100% happy with the service and thanking them for choosing our shop."

Over the last two years, the shop has expanded its services. Known for quality transmission repair, 2J's now also does general auto repairs, brake service, AC repair, and other engine repairs. The family owned auto repair shop also offers extended warranties on rebuilt transmissions and fleet service programs.
