Mobilefilmworks Expands Programming to Include Afro American TV Content for Brazilian Wireless Audiences

Responding to huge consumer demand for mobile digital television content, Mobilefilmworks will stream free reruns of TV sitcoms to mobile devices for the Brazilian wireless community in 2012.

ATLANTA, GA, December 19, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Responding to huge consumer demand for mobile television content, Mobilefilmworks plans to stream to mobile, free reruns of TV sitcoms such as "The Cosby Show", "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air", "Everybody Hates Chris", "Soul Train", "Good Times", and "The Jefferson's" in 2012. Mobilefilmworks will stream the popular sitcoms to Brazilian mobile viewers "On the Go", and to desktops.

"The more than 70 million Afro Brazilian viewers want relevant, positive, and upward mobile sitcoms, featuring their favorite television personalities, and we think they'll be delighted with the range of programming that Mobilefilmworks has to offer. Mobilefilmworks and a number of leading content owners will deliver a robust catalog of mobile television programming to demonstrate the potential for this new and free streaming service," said Steve Collins, President of the Content Streaming Division for Mobilefilmworks.

Research shows clear mobile viewer interest, for mobile television programming - particularly if the streamed broadcasts, are free. Survey results demonstrates that interest in comedy's such as "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" ranks high with Brazilian viewers, especially if available when they're on the move, as opposed to a TV tethered to the living room wall. People are mobile and it's time for us to move with them.

"We expect Mobilefilmworks television programming to be extremely popular with younger viewers, given the popularity of mobile devices with millenials from 18 to 29. Recent surveys indicate that young adult viewers will watch more media programming if they can watch it where they work, and play" said Jameela Lee, Vice President of Business Development.

Unlike companies offering subscription based services, Mobilefilmworks sets the stage with the rollout of over 1000 hours of television programming direct to mobile devices at no cost to the viewer.

Mobilefilmworks will utilize its existing wireless platform to deliver television programming to viewers. The new offering of television sitcoms, compliments the current streaming service offered to global independent filmmakers, and film festivals.
