Rugged Marine Introduces Totally Waterproof LCD Marine Monitors from $299

    KEMP, TX, January 19, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Rugged Marine, a Marine Security Products Manufacturer in Texas, is once again shocking the Marine Industry with the lowest cost Waterproof Marine Monitors on the market. The first products in the Waterproof lineup are a pair of 7" Wide Screen LCD TFT Monitors that are not only waterproof, dust proof and chemical resistant to IP69K standards, but can actually withstand heated high-pressure wash-downs as well.

These rugged, tough Waterproof Monitors can tolerate a wide voltage range from 12 to 32 volts DC, and a wide temperature range from -22F to +175F. The Aluminum Alloy case is machined from a solid block and is very thick, which not only helps the unit to withstand temperature extremes better, but also causes the unit to weigh in at a beefy 3.65 lbs.

Rugged Marine offers two models of the Waterproof Monitor series; a two channel model with single and dual screen selections, and a 4 channel model with a Quad Processor for 1, 2, 3 or 4 simultaneous pictures. Both models feature NTSC or PAL format compatibility and each camera input can be switchable from normal to mirror modes to provide a rear view mirror image if needed.

The Monitors have front panel buttons and Infrared Remotes for changing channel views or modes, and also feature trigger wires that can be used to call up individual channels when connected to a trigger source such as reverse gears or over the side operations. The Menu can be changed to a number of different languages, such as English, Dutch, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian or Russian.

Both models of the Waterproof Monitor have a 16:9 aspect ratio and wide viewing angles that are as much as 70 degrees from side to side.
