San Antonio Boudoir Photographer Launches Boudoir4theCure, Supporting Efforts to Find a Cure for Breast Cancer

Studio Boudoir Photography is pleased to announce the launch of Boudoir4theCure. Their first fundraising event, a Boudoir Marathon, will be held on May 12, 2012, with proceeds benefiting the Susan G. Komen Foundation for breast cancer research.

SAN ANTONIO, TX, March 14, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Studio Boudoir Photography, San Antonio's premier boudoir photography studio, is proud to announce the launch of Boudoir4theCure. The goal of Boudoir4theCure is to raise funds through various events, which will directly benefit the efforts of the Susan G. Komen Foundation to find a cure for breast cancer.

Boudoir has become one of the hottest trends in photography, as more women boldly step in front of the camera to capture an intimate and elegant side of themselves for a significant other. Most women shoot in lingerie, however, a jersey from a favorite sports team, a sexy dress, and men's dress shirts are also popular. Studio Boudoir credits their all-female staff, private studio, and editorial photography style as reasons for the success of their business, shooting over 200 women in the San Antonio area in 2011.

According to Anita Lubke, "Most of our clients are brides doing a boudoir session as the perfect gift for their groom on their wedding day. But we also have women of all ages, shapes, and sizes come in for different reasons such as anniversaries, Valentine's and birthdays."

According to Lubke, women also do a boudoir session due to recent lifestyle changes. "We have been honored to photograph several clients who are in the midst of dealing with breast cancer. They are trying to regain their confidence or celebrate a milestone in their difficult journey. These are special clients and we really want to make sure they have a great experience." Lubke has been so moved by those clients that it has signed on with The Susan G. Komen Foundation Passionately Pink for the Cure Organization to create Boudoir4theCure.

Boudoir4theCure plans to hold two Boudoir Marathons annually, with the first held on May 12, 2012, and one in October during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. A Boudoir Marathon is a full day of shooting, with special photo sessions and pricing. Studio Boudoir Photography (www.studioboudoirphotography.com) plans to donate 50% of their net proceeds to the Susan G. Komen Foundation on behalf of Boudoir4theCure.

"We've done marathons before, but this one is special. It's a way to give back and support our clients, and women everywhere, who are dealing with this terrible disease. This is our first of hopefully many to support Boudoir4theCure. Clients will have a great time, walk away with some fabulous photographs, and help us support a cure for breast cancer," says Lubke.

Studio Boudoir's all-female staff ensures clients are comfortable and satisfied during their private time in the studio.
