SAN FRANCISCO, CA, March 15, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Small, light Android devices are ideal for conducting in-person surveys at malls, amusement parks, movie theaters, airports, and other locations. And the process just got simpler with the introduction of a new Android cell phone/tablet app.

Creative Research Systems of Petaluma, California has launched a new Android version of its best-in-brand survey software The Survey System. With a broad range of tools and multiple editions of its software already in place for users to create detailed surveys and market studies, the Android app makes the process mobile on these popular phones and tablets.

Unlike telephone surveys or email surveys, this mobile survey software does not require a live Internet or telephone connection and can be used in locations where reception is not available or unreliable. The earlier Windows Mobile version was used to conduct interviews among tsunami survivors and other people in the Third World.

It's only the latest innovation from a versatile company, one that's long provided a unique approach for conducting surveys and market research.

While countless other firms offer little more than rudimentary survey tools, Creative Research Systems stands out by providing its users a broad technological platform and a complete survey software solution for 30 years. The Android app comes on the heels of other state-of-the-art offerings and innovations from Creative Research Systems.

The Android survey app fits in seamlessly with the desktop survey software package. It takes full advantage of portrait and landscape orientations and the varying screen sizes of Android phones and tablets. It can show pictures, play sounds and record spoken open-ended answers.

"The Android app is the latest example of how we provide a total survey software solution," said Creative Research Systems president Hank Zucker.

Available in both the United States and worldwide, the app is part of Creative Research System's PDA Module for smart phones and other devices. It will work with both the Professional Edition, a highly sophisticated platform built to satisfy even the most exacting of market researchers, and the Enterprise Edition for multiple users.
