Northwest Fisheries Association Elects Susan Chesney, Sales Manager for Diversified Business Communications' National Fisherman and WorkBoat Magazines, as its New President

Northwest Fisheries Association, the premier organization for the Washington, Oregon, Alaska and British Columbia seafood industry, elected Susan Chesney as its new President. Chesney is Sales Manager for National Fisherman and WorkBoat magazines.



    SEATTLE, WA, March 15, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Susan Chesney, Sales Manager for National Fisherman and WorkBoat magazines, has been elected president of the Northwest Fisheries Association (NWFA), which is the premier membership organization for the seafood industry in Washington, Oregon, Alaska and British Columbia.

"Our 190 members represent everything to do with the business of fish," said Chesney. "I am honored to lead the organization in our 60th year of service to the industry." Chesney has served on the board of the organization for the past five years. She is a resident of Vashon Island, Wash.

Chesney said NWFA provides networking, advocacy and community service benefits to its members. The organization hosts monthly dinner meetings, a fundraising auction, golf tournament, Family Night at the Mariners and a holiday party. NWFA also has a scholarship program, which annually provides $30,000 in grants to six members of the association or their immediate family members.

"Joining the NWFA provides an excellent opportunity to become more involved with the seafood industry, stay better informed of critical industry issues, develop important business relationships and have a great time," Chesney said.
