Medical Linen Service Angelica Corporation Gives Back By Donating Linens to Tornado Relief Efforts

Hospital linen service provider Angelica Corporation participates in disaster relief for local communities by donating fresh linens to tornado survivors.

ATLANTA, GA, April 12, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- With spring tornado season approaching, hospital linen service Angelica Corporation is once again giving back to local communities by contributing donations of linens, blankets, and towels to disaster victims.

Angelica Corporation has most recently donated to the victims of the January 2012, Trussville, Ala., tornado. This storm system ripped through the Birmingham area at wind speeds of roughly 150 miles per hour, where it killed two, injured hundreds, and destroyed over 200 homes.

Medical linen services provider Angelica Corporation partnered with relief efforts in Alabama in 2011 as well to provide linens to the survivors of the April 27th storm system that devastated much of Alabama and Georgia. Angelica Corporation plants in Rockmart and Ooltewah donated thermal blankets, towels, washcloths, sheets and pillowcases to the disaster relief effort.

"Clean sheets and towels are so easy to take for granted, but for disaster survivors, those simple comforts are a step towards normal after their world's been torn apart," noted Aly Merritt, Marketing Manager of healthcare linen service Angelica Corporation. "We feel it's only right that we do our part to help comfort this community after these horrifying storms."

The donations were made in partnership with Carl Black Automotive Group, which coordinated with local relief efforts and provided trucks and drivers to deliver the linens to the recipients. "It is a wonderful partnership," remarks Jay McAnnally of Carl Black Automotive Group. "We know we can count on the great people at Angelica to meet the needs of tornado victims."

A nationwide provider of hospital linen services, Angelica Corporation custom-tailors its linen and laundry services to meet each of its clients' unique needs for running a sanitary and efficient medical practice. Angelica Corporation provides medical linen service to over 4,200 facilities nationwide, and has maintained over 130 years of customer satisfaction.
