Latina Marketplace Launches New "Earn & Learn" Program For Students That Helps Latina Entrepreneurs

...Business students will gain valuable experience marketing to over 750,000 Latina Entrepreneurs in the U.S.--the fastest growing entrepreneurial sector in the United States.

/24-7PressRelease/ - SAN JUAN, PUERTO RICO, May 21, 2007 -- Latina Marketplace has launched a new "Earn & Learn" Program to help business students gain valuable experience marketing to Latina business owners--the fastest growing entrepreneurial sector of the U.S. economy.

Business students at over 400 colleges throughout the United States, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands have been invited to participate in this innovative program.

"Earn & Learn" helps students gain practical B2B experience marketing to Latina entrepreneurs while they help create the largest, most comprehensive online shopping mall of Latina owned businesses in the United States(www.latinamarketplace.com).

In addition to earning extra part-time income and learning collaborative marketing techniques, students can include their marketing experience with Latina Marketplace in their resume, very helpful when applying for their first marketing-related job.

Lourdes Aponte-Rosario, President of Hispanic Business Women's Alliance and Founder of Latina Marketplace, said that "many students will also gain the satisfaction of participating in a national campaign to help more Latinas who are owners of businesses, providers of professional services, or self employed, benefit from a much needed Internet presence, whether they have a website or not."

Aponte-Rosario also stated, "Most Latina entrepreneurs and professionals listed in the Online Shopping Mall of Latina Businesses did not have a presence in the Internet until now. Students will help inform many more Latina business owners of the importance of having both an off-line and online marketing strategy to help grow their business.

We are also confident that Latina business students participating in the "Earn & Learn" Program will seriously explore starting their own business as a result of their marketing experience with the Latina business community provided by Latina Marketplace."
