This event is presented by MV Productions, Bachateros.com.au and Picante Latin Dance. Organisers passionate and committed to "Spreading the love of Bachata in Australia".
The festival focuses on celebrating Bachata, a sexy and sensual partner dance from the Dominican Republic. It will also include other popular Latin Rhythms like Salsa, Merengue, Zouk and Kizomba.
After the success of the first Bachata Festival in 2008, this year's event is guaranteed to be bigger and better. Latin Dance lovers from Australia and the world will come together to experience an amazing, inspiring weekend! The Bachata Festival 2009 comprises of 2 days and 3 nights of Latin Dance Workshops, World-Class Performances and Prestigious Parties. And to add some spice, for the first time ever in Australia the festival will feature a big Urban Latin Bachata concert on the last night (Sunday 26th) of the festival! The band 4Ever has been confirmed!
This event caters for all people who love Latin dance and music. Festival attendees can feast on a vast array of workshops, witness some breathtaking shows and dance to the tunes of some of Australia's finest Latin Djs. Over 20 student and professional teams have been selected from Australia in addition to our international guests. Some featured artists include: Rodney Aquino (USA), Juan I. Ruiz (Australia), Nestor and Lidia (Australia), Sky Blue (Australia), Leslie and Jorge (USA), Nirico and Nikal (New Zealand) and many more.
