Kyrgyzstan
Hands down one of the friendliest countries in Central Asia, Kyrgyzstan welcomes you with open arms and warm smiles. Kyrgyzstan is also a country of statuesque beauty, with some of the world's finest mountain landscapes and one of it's largest alpine lakes, so expect to be left breathless and out of film.
Uzbekistan
A history buff's playground. The antiquity of Uzbekistan still conjures up spirits from the past. Visit majolica-tiled medressas in Samarkand, and a history of stoic explorers, barbarians and merchants on the Silk Road. Take deep breaths of times past relaxing under ancient mulberry trees. Uzbekistan is a travel through centuries of legends and magic carpets of adventure along the way.
Kazakhstan
Lay your own tracks in the footprints of Genghis Khan, and explore the birthplace of the Sufi order. Kazakhstan is the home of the tulip and the grassy steppes Central Asian nomads have lived upon for centuries. Bask in the European air of Almaty or explore the ancient Silk Road stop of Taraz. Trek in the tranquillity of the western Tian Shan mountains and discover the mysteries of Sufism in Turkistan.
After a day of reliving ancient history, kick your boots off and take in a dombra performance and sit back with a cup of kumys (fermented mare's milk) in the tranquil Central Asian landscape. Heck, have two cups.

In 1988, young Australians Darrell Wade and Geoff Manchester threw caution to the wind, bought a rusty truck and took an epic journey across the Sahara.
