Videos can be rated; the average rating and the number of times a video has been watched are both published. However, on Youtube you can't find any link to download videos.
Take it easy my friend. There is still 3 FREE easy ways to save videos off of the site for viewing later.
1- Temporary Internet Files (Difficulty: 5)
When we visited a site, all the web files will Temporarily save to Windows Temporary Internet Files Folder. Youtube videos are same. So we can find them in Windows Temporary Internet Files Folder, it located in "Document and Settings". In general, the path is "C:Documents and SettingsAdministratorLocal SettingsTemporary Internet Files".
Now lets take an example. After your viewing a video on youtube, you can now check Temporary Internet Files folder, to see if any filename refer to "Youtube" or "video" like "video?E24kDGm38c". Now copy and paste it out and rename this file to a FLV. Yes, you ve got that video!
GOOD: You just need to remember a folder.
BAD: Too many files in Temporary folder, it is a hard job to find afile. Sometimes videos auto removed by Windows system, so you can't get the video.
2- Manually Download from Browser (Difficulty: 3)
For example, the video url is "http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-_CSo1gOd48"
First you need to copy the text after "v=", it will be "-_CSo1gOd48"
Second, add it to this url "http://www.youtube.com/v/", full text must be "http://www.youtube.com/v/-_CSo1gOd48".
Visit "http://www.youtube.com/v/-_CSo1gOd48" and you will get a long long url:
"http://www.youtube.com/p.swf?video_id=-_CSo1gOd48&eurl=&iurl=http%3A//
sjl-static5.sjl.youtube.com/vi/-_CSo1gOd48/2.jpg&t=OEgsToPDskLl39E8zxnT3Mk8o5yvBGvl"
We need the text after "&t=", it is "OEgsToPDskLl39E8zxnT3Mk8o5yvBGvl"
Now we have to make pieces together:
Get video url: "http://www.youtube.com/get_video?video_id="

&T: "OEgsToPDskLl39E8zxnT3Mk8o5yvBGvl"
The completed video download url is "http://www.youtube.com/get_video?video_id=-_CSo1gOd48&t=OEgsToPDskLl39E8zxnT3Mk8o5yvBGvl"
Ok, just paste this url into your address bar and press Enter!
GOOD: You can download any video from youtube by your browser.
BAD: Too many operations, copy, paste, copy, paste...
