1st Class Medical is Expanding for the Second Time This Year

1st Class Medical is expanding again. A year of strong growth has made it necessary to acquire a new facility to expand warehouse space as well as provide work space for the service team and marketing department.

ENGLEWOOD, CO, August 31, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The health care industry as a whole has experienced explosive growth as baby boomers age and medical technology advances. 1st Class Medical specializes in oxygen equipment, particularly portable oxygen concentrators and home oxygen machines. They are one of the largest distributors in the country of concentrators and related supplies. After a year of explosive growth, 1st Class Medical has expanded for the second time. The facility is located in the Tech Center area of Denver, Colorado.

Oxygen concentrators produce medical grade oxygen by filtering the ambient air. This device has given a new lease on life to oxygen patients. They are safer, more economical, and more convenient then pressurized tanks and the cumbersome carts of old fashioned oxygen delivery systems. Patients with a higher dosage requirement generally use the home units while many can use the portable oxygen concentrators. The portable devices can weigh less than five pounds and run on batteries that last up to five hours. In the home they run on A/C power and most come with car chargers as well. Most of the portable oxygen concentrators have been FAA approved for airline use so the world of travel is no longer closed to oxygen patients. As more and more people have turned to these new devices, the industry has grown tremendously and the number of concentrators on the market has expanded exponentially.

In an effort to offer all the best concentrator options, the new facility provides additional warehouse space for the growing number of new and advancing products continues to expand. As these units are on the market longer, 1st Class Medical also required more space for their maintenance and repair department. Servicing what they sell is a very important aspect to their business. Cory Luckner, one of the owners who oversees operations at the Tech Center facility says, "We are committed to our customers long after their concentrator has been shipped. We want to keep it in good working order and work with them as their needs evolve." To allow patients to upgrade as needed, they accept trade-ins from those whose medical needs have changed. The new space allows their team of factory trained service technicians to repair customer's concentrators and to refurbish trade-in units for resale at a discounted price. Their service department also offers a very successful loaner program so that patients can use a free loaner when their own machines are being serviced.

In the ever growing world of ecommerce, the need for disseminating information and the potential for reaching a greater audience is bigger than ever. The new facility will also house the marketing and web content team. In the coming months they will be focusing on updating site information to be as current as possible as well as adding a wealth of new oxygen concentrators and related products to the site. The expanded location also includes a studio for shooting instructional videos. In the coming months they will be making videos to showcase new products as well as to cover some frequently asked questions suggested by the customer service department. They are excited to take advantage of this new opportunity to interact with their patients. They currently have over 13,000 Facebook fans that regularly visit their page to read blogs and interact with other customers in their growing Facebook community. With more space and a bigger team they home to expand that community even more in the coming months.
