Haunted Nightmare Brings the Halloween Screams to Craven Farm in Snohomish

The 4th annual Haunted Nightmare Haunted House relocates from Bothell to Snohomish for 2012 adding 2 haunted corn trails to their already popular indoor 3D blacklight attraction

BOTHELL, WA, October 05, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- As October approaches, a dark, unsettling feeling is creeping through the South Snohomish back roads. As nighttime falls, numerous drivers on the Old Snohomish Monroe Road have reported it. Shivers run down their spine as they lose themselves in the fog. Heading south, their eyes widen as they become more alert to the possible dangers ahead. Little do they know that an accidental right turn at the Y in the road could be their last!

After dark this October, innocent family fun takes a backseat at Snohomish's original pumpkin patch. For the first time ever, Craven Farm will be offering a nighttime haunted attraction for fans who love to dive headless first into Halloween's darker side. Three horror-filled attractions turn the traditional, family farm into an all out haunted amusement park! If you found the daytime kiddy fun at the pumpkin patch a little too...childish...face your fears in the Trails from the Crypt corn trail where childhood stories are turned upside down with horrific consequences. Next, enter the Hauntapocalypse corn trail where zombies roam a post-apocalyptic wasteland. You'll run in fear, terrified at the possibility of what lies around every twisted metal turn. If you haven't completely run out of breath yet, don a pair of 3D glasses and step inside Seattle's only 3D blacklight haunted house, Haunted Nightmare in 3D. Bring along a friend for security as mind bending visual effects bring your nightmares to life!

Haunted Nightmare relies on a large cast and crew of over 70 volunteers per night. A portion of the proceeds benefits the Boys and Girls Clubs of Snohomish County which includes 17 clubs. Volunteers interested in acting or serving on the security staff should visit http://www.hauntednightmare.com and click on Volunteers to learn more. All ages are welcome, however adults are especially encouraged to get involved. Volunteers find that being a part of the Haunted Nightmare Scream Team is something they look forward to all year long.

Haunted Nightmare at Craven Farm is a partnership organized by popular local haunt producers Jody Bossert and Destry Wood of Haunted Night LLC and featuring the internationally recognized artistic talents of Dutch Bihary of Contours FX, all on-site at one of the region's most popular October destinations, Craven Farm. The haunted attraction opens October 5th and continues every Friday and Saturday night throughout October, ending with a one-time only Sunday show on the 28th. The farm is located at 13817 Short School Rd. Snohomish, WA 98290. Shows are recommended for brave 10 year olds and above (the show is meant to appeal to adults so there is a certain level of gore, but kids tend to absolutely love it as well so parents should simply use their discretion). The box office opens at 7pm with final haunt access granted at 11pm (ticket sales close at 10:30pm). Tickets are $10 per haunt or $20 for a combo pass (all three attractions). Guests on busy nights may wish to purchase a VIP Fast Pass for an additional $10. Group discounts are also available. Visit the website for details at http://www.hauntednightmare.com or email Jody Bossert at [email protected].
