Ancient Jewish Tradition Suggests Answer to Epidemic Divorce Rates

In the United States currently 40-50 percent of marriages end in divorce.

MIAMI BEACH, FL, January 23, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Considering the impact of divorce on children, many couples are looking for an alternative to splitting ways or staying in a loveless marriage.

Statistically, Jewish marriages are significantly stronger than the average marriage across the world, but the question is why. Michele Eliezer, author of Save A Marriage ASAP suggests that the answer to happily ever after might be found in a common Jewish practice called Niddah. Until now this secret of stable and passionate marriages had been kept tightly sealed in the Jewish tradition, but Eliezer believes that this marriage saver should be made available to all.

The tradition of Niddah suggests that couples refrain from any type of physical contact, including touching, kissing and hand-holding for 2 weeks out of the month. According to the Jewish tradition, this self-induced distance creates and maintains desire and passion.

"Most of the people who ask me about it hear that Niddah greatly improves many couples' marriages, but they don't understand how. It actually seems that the opposite will happen."

While creating an intentional physical distance might seem counter-intuitive to many struggling couples, the numbers show it works.

Eliezer suggests that refraining from physical affection for periods of time will assure that the spark remains for years and decades to come. As years pass people tend to take each other for granted. This means they become less interested in each other, bored, and frustrated.

Niddah offers a thousand year old system based on the Old Testament that has worked for her, many of her family, her ancestors and her community.

But Eliezer doesn't stop there but shares many ways of how women can turn their marriages around and create a stable, passionate union. "I am standing on the shoulders of Giants. This has worked for hundreds of years and the results speak for themselves."
