/24-7PressRelease/ - August 19, 2007 - The final leg of the walk will begin on the east side of Arlington Cemetery, just before the bridge, at 10 am on Saturday. From there he will walk the final 2 miles to the Capitol building.
Although this portion of his journey is ending, another journey begins. As more walkers will arrive in Washington DC on September 11th, Bill will remain in the nation's capitol to knock on legislator doors, trying to get members of the Senate and House to speak with him and accept his petition to end the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, along with reinstating the balance of powers between the White House and Congress.
Just because Bill McDannell has completed his goal of walking across the country, does not mean he is going to stop walking. After spending a month in the nation's capitol, Bill will begin walking across the New England states in the fall. There he plans speaking engagements and discussions forums. As he has stated in the past, there is much work yet to do and he is not resting until that work is complete.
Bill is available for interviews in person or via phone as he walks. Everyone is invited to join him in the final leg of his walk on Saturday morning in Washington DC. A daily journal of progress will be continued by Bill McDannell at http://www.wtetw.com/journal.htm.
If you would like more information, or to schedule an interview with Bill McDannell, please call Bill at 619-792-5292 or email him at radicalgeezer@gmail.com.
