Breast Augmentation Season Begins at Beverly Hills Practice

Dr. David Sayah discusses the increase of breast augmentations during the spring season at his Beverly Hills practice.

BEVERLY HILLS, CA, March 07, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- More women are scheduling breast augmentation appointments as warmer weather approaches. Dr. David Sayah (http://www.davidsayah.com), a prominent Beverly Hills plastic surgeon, suggests that this is a cyclical trend that repeats every year at this time.

"Once winter's end is in sight, it's natural to start thinking about warm weather activities," explains Dr. Sayah, a breast augmentation specialist in Los Angeles. "Wanting to look your best on the beaches is part of living in Southern California."

Many plastic surgeons report that spring and very early summer are the most popular time for patients to seek augmentation surgery. Warm weather, tax refunds, and a generous amount of healing time before swimsuit season are all contributors to the surge of interest in breast enhancement this time of year.

As women become more aware of the new advances in technique and technology available for more natural looking breast augmentation, demand has increased accordingly. Patients are finding a greater level of societal acceptance for cosmetic procedures as well, which may also contribute to the rising popularity of augmentation and other aesthetic procedures.

"Not every woman wants to just go bigger anymore," adds Dr. Sayah. "For example, more athletic women may prefer a smaller cup size, and that's something we can work on together. My primary goal is to find the right combination of elements that bring out the highest beauty potential in every woman."

All breast implants have a silicone shell, which is then filled with either saline or silicone gel. Implants come in a wide range of volumes and profiles, allowing for multiple customization possibilities that can be tailored to the needs of individuals. The placement of the implant will also affect the final appearance. Subglandular placement, where the implant rests between the natural breast tissue and the chest muscles, can mean a faster healing time and improved cleavage.

Alternatively, the added muscular support that comes from submuscular placement (under both glandular tissue and muscle) allows the breast implants to better resist gravity.

"I can't stress this enough: the best results depend more on the surgeon than the implant," notes Dr. Sayah. "You have to select a surgeon who is highly trained and experienced in breast augmentation technique. You also have to be comfortable with your surgeon on a personal level; communication is the most successful ingredient for a positive experience."
