If rumours are true and the Ricky Biscayne and Jill Sanchez characters are indeed based on Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez, they are not flattering portrayals, but the insight into the lifestyles of all of these Floridians is shockingly perceptive and you quickly feel as though you know these characters very well.

It's definitely an entertaining read, but if you can look deeper than the surface plots you might find it an accurate portrayal of many of the best and worst aspects of human behaviour. A read for the beach, yes, but don't be surprised if it stays with you a while longer.
