France Lavoie Marcotte, CHRA, Named a Worldwide Who's Who Professional of the Year for Excellence in Performance Management

While inclusion in Worldwide Who's Who is an honor, only a small selection of members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, years of service, and the credentials they have provided in association with their Worldwide Who's Who membership.

Ms. Lavoie Marcotte celebrates more than three decades in the human resources profession, with a concentration in the healthcare and social services sector. She has also offered her expertise in coaching, performance management, change management, recruiting and personnel management for various other enterprises. Ms. Lavoie Marcotte also helps CEOs set and achieve company goals through their strategic planning projects.

Demonstrating 38 years as a consultant, Ms. Lavoie Marcotte spends her days working in all areas of human resources organizational development and handling project management activities. Ms. Lavoie Marcotte received the Recognition for Excellence from the Ministry of Quebec and Excellence in Establishment awards.

She previously worked for more than 30 years for the Network of Healthcare and Social Services: Hospitals (18 years); Rehabilitation Centers for persons affected by a mental impairment or persons with a pervasive developmental disorder (17 years); Child and Youth Protection Centers (3 years); and Agencies of Health care and Social Services (regional authorities that report to the Minister of Healthcare and Social Services). As a senior consultant, her lines of business were in private enterprises, municipal sector, health and social services centers (hospitals, residential and long term care centers, and local community services centers), child and youth protection centers, and a recruitment firm.

Ms. Lavoie Marcotte attributes her success to being a humanist manager who hardly believes in human resources capabilities and their development, is recognized for her mobilizing leadership, management abilities and expertise and her contribution in helping organizations to achieve their goals and missions. She also feels that having a good vision, being intuitive, and showing integrity and work ethic helped her get to where she is today. At first, Ms. Lavoie Marcotte sought interest in a medical career (as a pediatrician), but changed her mind and decided to pursue human resources. She has progressed in her career throughout the years.

She received her Bachelor degree of Science in Industrial Relations, specialized in human resources, from the University of Montreal. Outside of work, she volunteers at her local church and various community organizations. Her favorite activities include reading, golfing, traveling, cycling, skiing and spending time with family. In the years to come, Ms. Lavoie Marcotte would like to continue with consulting, management coaching, recruiting and working with upper-level management.
