Arizona HOA Management Company Against Outsourcing

    PHOENIX, AZ, April 24, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Arizona HOA management company, Spectrum Association Management, announced today that it is committed to not outsourcing phone calls from homeowners and Board members.

Some large national management companies with offices in Phoenix have recently decided to downsize their Arizona operations and transfer customer service operations to locations out of state.

Spectrum announced that it is hiring and has added a large number of positions in recent weeks.

"We have always been opposed to the call center model," said Spectrum Association Management CEO Andy Hill. "While call centers clearly improve a company's profit margin they always lead to customer erosion."

Spectrum is known for its high level of customer service for Phoenix HOAs. The company maintains small portfolios of communities for its community managers who generally have fewer properties to look after than their peers at other companies.

"We have been relentlessly focused since our founding on ways to improve the reputation of our industry," Hill said. "Nothing has had a bigger impact in this area than our Same-Day Response policy."

That Same-Day Response policy is well known across the HOA industry. Spectrum responds to all homeowner, Board member, and vendor questions, phone calls, and emails the same day they come in. The company said the only way they are able to provide that level of service is due to their staffing levels.

The Arizona HOA management company is concerned that the industry is headed in the opposite direction and that recent moves clearly indicate which way the winds are blowing. Large national companies are experimenting with regional call centers that are designed to cut down on expenses of the management company. The savings will not passed on to communities in the way of lower fees. Instead, they will see the same, or higher fees, and now have their phone calls and emails routed through out-of-state regional call center warehouses.

Spectrum Association Management said it disagrees with the move and will continue its current pace of hiring and expanding operations to meet the needs of its communities.
