Dr. Morse Buhrow, who has more than three decades of experience in health care administration, has held her current position for the past four years. Buhrow & Ross Consultants, PLLC is one of the region's leading providers of patient safety and performance improvement consulting services to the medical and dental industry. The firm also develops patient safety and risk management curricula for residency programs. In her leadership role with the firm, Dr. Morse Buhrow develops patient safety programs and guidelines for graduate medical education and private practitioners. Prior to her current role with Buhrow & Ross Consultants, Dr. Morse Buhrow filled a number of key positions with leading companies in the field, including administrator and consultant with Buhrow, Gillis and Sabol; patient care director of medical and surgical services with Caritas St. Elizabeth Medical Center; and an adjunct faculty member in patient safety and risk management at the Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center OMFS Residency Program. During her long career, she has earned a reputation for being a dynamic, results-oriented health care consultant and author with expertise in patient safety research, graduate medical education and risk management.

Dr. Morse Buhrow, who entered the health care consulting field due to her extensive knowledge of nursing and oral maxillofacial surgery, practice administration, attributes her success to her rigorous education and commitment to patient safety research. Over the next five years, she would like to continue focusing on improving patient safety by increasing provider awareness through health professions education.

Dr. Morse Buhrow holds a master's degree in Health Care Administration from Salve Regina University and a Doctorate in Health Care Administration from the University of Phoenix. An active member of the field, she belongs to several professional groups, including the American College of Healthcare Executives, National Patient Safety Foundation, Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI), IHI Open School GME Interest Group, American Society of Professionals in patient Safety, American Nurses Association, and Arizona Nurses Association. During her free time, she enjoys skiing, boating and whitewater rafting.
