Mississauga Dentist Receives Fellowship in Oral Implantology

    MISSISSAUGA, ON, May 17, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Brian Kaplansky, Mississauga dentist, is proud to have received the Fellowship in Oral Implantology from the International Congress of Oral Implantology. Dr. Kaplansky has taken advanced surgical training in Oral Implantology and bone grafting to offer the best possible care for dental implants in Mississauga.

This fellowship was the result of a great deal of time and energy and I am honored to have completed all the necessary requirements. To receive a Fellowship from the ICOI, there are several requirements the dentist has to meet. First, the dentist must provide a listing of 20 completed implant cases which must be at least 12 months old. Dentists must also provide documentation of completion of 75 hours or more of implant education in the preceding five years. A letter of recommendation is also required from a current ICOI Fellow, IPS Master, ICOI Diplomate or a member of the ICOI's Advanced Credentials Committee. To maintain the Fellowship, dentists are required to maintain their membership in good standing and must attend at least one ICOI sponsored or co-sponsored meeting every three years. They also must accumulate 75 hours or more of "implant education" within five years of becoming a fellow.
