Elisheva Irma Diaz Named a Worldwide Who's Who Professional of the Year for Excellence in Jewish Education Services

Elisheva Irma Diaz is a dedicated Author, lecturer and Jewish educator driven by her passion to reach the diaspora



    WEST COVINA, CA, May 20, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Elisheva Irma Diaz, President of Ayekah Jewish Learning and Education Center, has been named a Worldwide Who's Who Professional of the Year in Jewish Education Services. While inclusion in Worldwide Who's Who is an honor, only a small selection of members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, years of service, and the credentials they have provided in association with their Worldwide Who's Who membership.

The focus of the Ayekah Jewish Learning and Education Center is to reach the diaspora online, as well as in person, to educate those of Jewish background on the Torah and Judaism.

With more than a decade of experience specializing in religious education, Ms. Diaz took on the role of president of the Ayekah Jewish Learning and Education Center in 2011. Passionate about enlightening and educating both adults and children about their Jewish identity, she has also launched the Coalition for Ladino Legacy (www.coalitionforladinolegacy.org), which will focus on continuing the heritage of those in the Judeo-Spanish community. Her ability as a communicator is evident on every platform and in any venue.

Driven by her passion for Judaism, Ms. Diaz holds a Master's Degree and an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Theology. She currently is a graduate student in Jewish Studies with Rabbinic emphasis at Gratz College. She is fluent in Spanish, conversant in Portuguese and loves to travel in her spare time, specifically to Brazil, where in 2010 she was honored for her work with the government as well as helping with social projects in the slum areas and local orphanages. In the near future, she hopes to publish her book titled, "My Individual Exile," a novel about Jewish identity, as well as a textbook based on the Torah.
