Worldwide Who's Who Names Melissa G. Iteld-Jurin, MA, Professional of the Year in Education and Authorship

Mrs. Iteld-Jurin honored as an Expert Resource and Top Female Executive by Worldwide Who's Who

GREAT NECK, NY, May 22, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Melissa G. Iteld-Jurin, Writer, Teacher and Dancer, has been named a Worldwide Who's Who Professional of the Year in Education and Authorship. While inclusion in Worldwide Who's Who is an honor, only a small selection of members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, years of service, and the credentials they have provided in association with their Worldwide Who's Who membership.

Understanding the importance of a strong educational foundation, Mrs. Jurin completed a bachelor's degree in history, with a minor in French and dance, at Barnard College and a Master of Arts in history and education at the Teachers College of Columbia University. Upon completion of the degrees, she embarked on a career in education, literature, and authorship which has spanned more than 15 years.

Mrs. Jurin is currently collaborating on a novel entitled "Dying to Get under the Chuppah" with Sandra Hochman, a Pulitzer Prize nominee and award-winning poet. With experience as an adjunct professor at Tuoro College, she also taught literature and writing at various public and private schools throughout New York. Drawing on her educational background, which also includes a certification as a Grade 7-12 teacher by the State of New York, Mrs. Jurin has become an expert in writing and literature. She plans to publish her book and continue writing and dancing.

Recognized for years of invaluable contributions to the education industry, Mrs. Jurin has garnered several awards. In 2009, she was inducted into Worldwide Who's Who as a lifetime member. Since her inclusion, she has been chosen as an Expert Resource and a Top Female Executive. In 2009 and 2013, she was also selected as a Professional of the Year, representing education and authorship. Mrs. Jurin attributes her success to persistency and devotion to her industry.

Naturally philanthropic, Mrs. Jurin contributes to the Alumnae Network of Barnard College and plans to focus on charitable causes related to autism and Alzheimer's disease. Away from the demands of her work, she enjoys spending time with her husband Bruce and son Larry, playing tennis, and studying ballet.
