StratITsphere Data Center Solutions, LLC, Announces New Expansion Construction

    HOUSTON, TX, June 05, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Leading data center solutions and cloud computing provider StratITsphere Data Center Solutions, LLC, is proud to announce the start of construction on their data center expansion, located in Katy, just northwest of Houston. The data center expansion will include three data center halls with future expansion up to six halls and contain some of the most state-of-the-art security technology to keep business information and servers safe and secure.

Using a performance optimized data center approach, also known as a POD design, StratITsphere will physically isolate each data center hall called a "Vault" from the rest of the 100,000-square foot building that resides on six acres of land. With the increasing demand for outsourced, highly available data center infrastructure in a strategic location, Phase I, POD 1, is currently sold out. Phase II's, 8,000-square foot POD is under construction, allocating half of its space for a dedicated suite available in late June 2013. Phase III, also an 8,000-square foot POD, is expected to be available beginning late August of this year.

In addition to the extensive new construction, StratITsphere will encompass state-of-the-art security technology. There will be a badged gate entrance to the property before entering the building where customers and visitors must interact with armed security guards. These will be two of the main features added to the three megawatts of power per POD to support high performance computing and to prevent outages. All PODs will contain standard 36-inch raised floors serving as added protection and enabling maximum cooling efficiency.

StratITsphere is also constructing a custom, on-site local business continuity office suite, expected to be available late June of this year. The new space is 6,000 square feet, designated to accommodate up to 50 tenants comfortably. This space has been sold, but similar designs can be constructed.
