Helen Lee Simmons Named a Worldwide Who's Who Professional of the Year for Excellence in Spiritual & Healing Services

Helen helps people get their spiritual lives in order through beads and stones

RALEIGH, NORTH CAROLINA, May 30, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Helen Lee Simmons, Founder of Mother Bear Healing Gifts, has been named a Worldwide Who's Who Professional of the Year in Spiritual & Healing Services. Inclusion in Worldwide Who's Who is a high honor since only a small selection of members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, years of service, and the credentials they have provided in association with their Worldwide Who's Who membership.

At the age of 63, Helen believes she is finally becoming the person God meant her to be, as she says a bipolar condition controlled most of her life up to now. She credits the discipline of Reiki energy healing with providing her with the immense healing she has received through the efforts of her Reiki practitioner, Sharri Gaines. Helen is using the gifts that God has given her to help others, through everything that she now does. The name Helen means "captivating light" and she also carries the nickname "Sunshine" Simmons.

Helen is engaged to marry Elizabeth Sophia "Betty" Cross in a religious ceremony at Temple Beth Or in Raleigh. While gay marriage is not legal yet in North Carolina, they will join their lives for the rest of their days with a binding religious commitment before their congregation. Helen has one daughter, Catherine Bingman Michelson, and is the widow of Joseph Bingman Simmons and Lydia Elizabeth Clark.

Helen Simmons is a beads and stones provider who offers healing beads and helps others get their spiritual lives in order. She has become an expert on minerals of the earth, and is well-versed in horticulture, accounting, and journalism. Helen is a recipient of the nine rites of Munay-Ki, a discipline of Peruvian shamanism. She recently received these rites through Vickie Penninger who will soon become Helen's Reiki teacher so that she can pass along the blessings she has received through the discipline of Reiki energy healing.

Helen's responsibilities now are using beads for healing from natural semi-precious mineral stones of the earth, which are given dedication and charge. She is often found cleansing beads in the sun, charging them in the full moon and saying prayers over the beads to activate their healing powers. She makes many original artistic creations with the beads that are extremely attractive as well as having healing powers for those who choose to take advantage of those gifts.

She attributes her success to persistence. She became involved in her profession because a friend, Deborah Taylor Lee, contacted her through Facebook, and sent her some information to help her with prosperity through Wiccanism. Helen Simmons plans to start earning a decent income, so that she doesn't have to worry about finances anymore, and can help heal the earth to prevent any catastrophes.

Helen Simmons received a Bachelor of Science the honors in Floriculture at North Carolina State University and had a poem called "Song of the Ages" published in "The Whole Thing," by NC State University Press when she was a senior. She penned the bi-weekly nostalgia column "Southern Harmony" in Whiteville, NC's The News Reporter for 4 years from 1998 to 2002.
She has facilitated a bipolar support group and does many activities for Temple Beth Or (House of Light). Her hobbies include crochet, sewing, playing the piano, listening to classical, new age and Native American music, gardening and recycling. She enjoys nature and the thing that is most important to her is to honor and preserve the earth for future generations.
