After working in the field of journalism and gaining experience in teaching communications, Ms. Simpson was brought into a health care company in California to instruct communications and its importance. Being brought up in and small, loving and extremely close-knit family, the teachings from her parents were to always treat people with kindness, dignity and respect. Ms. Simpson passes on the same values as her parents every time she sees a patient. Managing a staff and all 32 health plans, she is highly successful in motivating staff, and increasing their knowledge of credentialing and how end results affect patients. She also communicates with patients and their families, and handles all credential documents, directories and websites.

Originally from California, Ms. Simpson recognizes the increased legislation associated with health plans in New York. She believes that the more standardized approach used in states like California brings greater benefits to patients. Although she does not see or speak with every patient who walks through the doors of Queens Long Island Medical Group, the end result which allows them to continue being treated and not subject to an unnecessary bill or denial for lack of provider participation is rewarding.

Ms. Simpson became a certified professional in medical services management from the University of Phoenix. She is a member of the National Association Medical Staff Services and the National Association of Professional Women. She also supports a local animal shelter and a local church. From everything that she has learned throughout her life's experiences, she believes it has allowed her to strive to put more than her best foot forward, which she also applies to her career in health care.
