Gerald L. Martin Named a VIP Member Worldwide Who's Who for Excellence in Technical Sales

Mr. Martin works with contractors, business owners and engineers to design industrial dehumidification component systems



    MINNEAPOLIS, June 5, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Gerald Martin, President of EER Products, Inc., was recently named a VIP member of Worldwide Who's Who. This special distinction honors individuals who have shown exceptional commitment to achieving personal and professional success.

EER Products, Inc. is a technical sales organization that offers energy-saving heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems. Mr. Martin's business goal was to provide energy-efficient product lines that were different from what other clients offered. He started to manufacture and build Custom Energy Recovery Ventilators which transfer heat and moisture from outdoors to indoors and ran the facilities. His main interest now is engineering dehumidification systems. These projects include design and sales of energy-saving air handling units to dehumidify the air primarily for indoor swimming pools, indoor ice arenas, water treatment plants and other process applications that require dehumidified air.

Mr. Martin has 50 years of experience overall in HVAC engineered-sales, with 35 years as president of EER Products, Inc. His primary responsibility includes overseeing daily business operations as well as the company website. He also holds multiple energy-saving technology patents. No matter the project, Mr. Martin ensures that the company's dehumidification solutions save monthly in operating costs.

Born to a poor family in the great depression, Mr. Martin learned to always improve his mental and physical achievements. He learned the trade of carpentry from his father, and he began work as a union carpenter at 15 years of age. He later earned a scholarship award to attend the University of Missouri-Columbia, where he graduated with two degrees in mechanical engineering and mathematics. Upon his graduation, he started work for The Trane Company as an HVAC sales engineer. He attended a Trane school for six months to learn how to engineer HVAC systems. From there, he was assigned to the Newark sales office where he was assigned contractors.

Through overseas business travel , Mr. Martin broadened his insight into people throughout the world for 13 years as an International HVAC Sales-Engineer for Westinghouse International out of NYC. First assigned a territory of Europe and Africa, he moved to Paris, France where he engineered and imported HVAC units for a large trading company. Later, as Manager at the main office in NYC, his business travels took him to the meet and learn from customers in most of the countries of the Middle East, Americas, and Asia.

Always willing to improve, Mr. Martin attributes his success to being raised to achieve his best. He got involved in his current profession because he started out in sales and discovered he wanted more out of his career. He improved himself through education, and his career progressed from there. The highlight of his career was performing developmental research on an energy-saving static enthalpy exchanger in conjunction with the University of Minnesota's mechanical engineering department. This research was funded by the National Science Foundation.

Mr. Martin obtained an MBA degree in International Finance from the Leonard N. Stern School of Business in NYC. Earlier, he obtained a BS in Mechanical Engineering and AB in Mathematics from the University of Missouri-Columbia. He has also been honored by the Tau Beta Pi Association, Inc. In his spare time, Mr. Martin volunteers for local Christian organizations and enjoys activities such as downhill skiing and exercising.
