Isabelita Robles Named a VIP Member of Worldwide Who's Who for Excellence in Project Management

Ms. Robles' teamwork skills developed into a prominent leadership position with Scotiabank



    MISSISSAUGA, ONTARIO, CANADA, June 14, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Isabelita Robles, Senior Manager/Director of Global End User Computing, Technology Program Office of Scotiabank, was recently named a VIP member of Worldwide Who's Who. This special distinction honors individuals who have shown exceptional commitment to achieving personal and professional success.

Ms. Robles has 21 years of technology and project management experience, six years of which is as a Senior Manager / Director of Scotiabank. She is a specialist in the areas of project management, product release management, and operations. On a daily basis, she is responsible for managing a team of seasoned Delivery Managers and Project Control Officers who deliver global end user computing technology, including instant messaging, desktop computing, exchange mail, collaboration tools and email archiving, Windows 7, and mobile solutions. She governs a portfolio of programs, preparing enterprise business cases and strategic planning for a combined budget of 40+ million.

A dedicated team player, Ms. Robles attributes her success to the leaders she has worked with who have given her the opportunity to grow and expand her learning abilities, as well as the mentality to continue her education. She is a lifelong learner who believes in staying on top of new advancements and technology. Ms. Robles became involved in her profession after completing her studies in software development which she started early in her career as a developer and technical lead for companies such as Dufferin Peel School Board, GE Capital Technology services, and The Hospital for Sick Children (also known as SickKids Hospital) . Eventually she transitioned into leadership roles for successful organizations such as Silicon Graphics, Prentice Hall and Ginn (a Viacom Company), Sundex, Bell Canada, and currently Scotiabank.

In her years of experience she has contributed to enterprise organizations revenue growth and cost savings through initiatives such as travel reduction and long distance cost avoidance through the implementation of Video Conferencing Technology, minimizing cost of ownership through managed services, paperless and direct invoicing for field workers, and industrial fleet GPS implementation to improve safety and minimize theft, to name a few. Later she became more interested in the business side of the field, which led her to explore everything that had to do with business analysis and project management. Ms. Robles was determined to combine the technical hands-on experience and knowledge she's acquired through the years with her business in strategic planning to effectively deliver successful projects.

Ms. Robles graduated with an honours diploma in Systems Analysis and Programming. She is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) through the Project Management Institute, PRINCE2-certified, and ITIL certified. Her lifelong learning includes attending renowned Women's Executive Network events. The network is the largest community of influential, powerful and successful women in Canada and Ireland.

In 2012, she was presented with a Best of the Best Award by Scotiabank for stellar contribution to Scotiabank's success. To benefit the less fortunate, Ms. Robles has volunteered at local soup kitchens, the Daily Bread Food Bank, and participates and promotes charitable events such as the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation's Ride to Cure Diabetes. When she is not busy working, she enjoys travelling, reading, and spending time with loved ones. In years to come, she hopes to continue doing what she is doing and one day share her knowledge and experience as a coach and mentor for the next generation of leaders.
