Lynette S. Svingen, MHA, MBA, RN, Inducted into Worldwide Who's Who for Excellence in Health Care Administration

    GLASGOW, MT, August 9, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ --Lynette Svingen, Vice President of Patient Services for Planned Parenthood Los Angeles is recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for her leadership and longstanding commitment to health care.

As Vice President of Patient Services, Ms. Svingen leads Planned Parenthood Los Angeles' (PPLA) administrative strategies. Through her efforts, she ensures that 140,000 patients receive compassionate, excellent reproductive health care. Cancer screenings, breast health exams and family planning services are among the preventive health services patients receive at PPLA. Nearly 80 percent of the patients who seek PPLA health services live at or below the federal poverty line.

Ms. Svingen has operational and financial oversight of 19 health centers and 320 patient services staff. Ms. Svingen also provides leadership to 12 direct reports and guides expectations for physicians and mid-level providers. Ms. Svingen is a healthcare management expert who firmly believes that all people should have access to quality health care regardless of their financial circumstances. This commitment to reducing health disparities among the most vulnerable populations continues to drive her professional success.

In 1993, Ms. Svingen graduated with a bachelor's degree in nursing from Montana State University-Northern, and went on to complete her MBA and her master's degree in health administration through Pfeiffer University in North Carolina. Her previous professional experience includes her holding such positions as director of emergency services, director of perioperative services, director of ambulatory surgery, and chief nursing officer. Moving forward, Ms. Svingen aspires to be a chief operating officer.

Ms. Svingen maintains professional affiliation with the American Organization of Nurse Executives, the National Association of Professional Women and serves as a committee member for the National Patient Services Council for Planned Parenthood Federation.
