Educator Elayne Camp Sanders Recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for Excellence in Education

Ms. Sanders has 38 years of practiced expertise in education, with 30 years of experience in special eduation



    FLOWER MOUND, TX, August 13, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Elayne Camp Sanders, English Teacher for Flower Mound High School, has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in education.
Throughout the past 38 years, Ms. Sanders has taught English in Tennessee, Texas, and Europe. Drawing on her educational background, which includes a Bachelor of Science in English, with a minor in history, from The University of Tennessee, she has developed a skill set for grammar and writing. In 1999, Mr. Sanders assumed a position as an English teacher at Flower Mound High School, a title she still holds today.
In her position, Ms. Sanders works as a special education resource teacher. Specializing in English education for students in grades 9 through 12, she ensures IEP objectives are met and works closely with students to tutor them in areas where they need improvement. Ms. Sanders also works collaboratively with school counselors to monitor each student's progress. Nominated as Tennessee Teacher of the Year, she attributes her 38 years of success in education to an ability to create unique teaching methods which cater to the needs of each student. Within the next five years, Ms. Sanders intends to remain steadfast in her position and strengthen her technological skills through continued education. She also strives to aid people in improving their perception of special needs students by encouraging acceptance and promoting a non-judgmental school environment.
Ms. Sanders is a member of the National Education Association, Alpha Delta Kappa International Sorority for Women Educators, American Federation of Teachers, National Association of Teachers of English, and the Council of Exceptional Children. She is also a volunteer with her local church who has served as area director for the Special Olympics. Away from the demands of her work, she enjoys playing her baby grand piano, cooking, traveling, scrapbooking, reading, and spending time with Larry- her husband of 45 years, her two children, and her three grandsons.
