Success in the US for Innovate Product Design Client - Sinkstation

    SAN FRANCISCO, CA, August 30, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- One year after opening their first office location in the United States, Innovate Product Design (http://how-to-patent-an-idea.net) is proud to announce the success in the US market of their client's invention - Sinkstation, an award winning revolutionary flat colander, a great aid for food preparation.

The original concept for the colander was the idea of Damon Meredith, visualized by Innovate Product Design and then developed by Damon and his company New Soda. Damon came up with the idea in 2010 originally to catch peelings, (which it does brilliantly), but soon realized that it could also be used to help wash and prepare food and provide a hygienic, removable 'deck' at the base of the sink.

Innovate Product Design worked with Damon to help perfect his innovative idea for the flat colander, from evaluating his idea and advising on potential routes to market for the concept, through to producing photorealistic CAD visualizations and assisting with intellectual property protection. Sinkstation is a sleek modern design available in a number of different bright colors making it a great addition to any kitchen.

Regarding his experience of working with Innovate, Damon said "I knew I had to get a good drawing of the idea so went to Innovate who did a CAD design for me. The CAD images made the product exist virtually before it actually did, which enabled me to present my idea to a number of different companies. This means you aren't just describing it to companies or showing them an A4 piece of paper with a biro drawing on it, you give them a 3D realistic design of the product so they can see it, it really helped move things along." Since launching Sinkstation in 2012, the product has won the 2012 Excellence in Homewares Award and was selected as a finalist in the 2013 Housewares Conference & Innovation Awards category.
