Maverick's Miracle Babies Foundation Awards 2nd Procreation Grant

$8,000.00 given to local deserving Texas family for IVF procedure.

AUSTIN, TX, September 04, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Maverick's Miracle Babies Foundation has awarded its second procreation grant to a local Texas family. After struggling for multiple years to conceive, awardees Vanessa and Mark were given $8,000.00 to complete a round of In Vitro Fertilization (IVF).

"When we had first heard of the grant, we had already gone through two rounds and had 6 frozen embryos from the second round that we would be using for implantation. I knew we wouldn't be asking for much of the entire cost and thought that we could use a bit of financial help, since we had already spent close to $40k without the aid of insurance. When we went for our interview to meet members of the MMBF board, I had no idea what to expect. We were completely at ease talking with the ladies knowing that they had gone through the same thing. And that is what I have found comfort in thus far, hearing other In Vitro stories." said Vanessa, "I do not think Mark and I are MORE deserving than another couple to receive the grant, but I do know that we deserve to be parents. My heart is full of love for other women that have gone through this process, and overflows with gratitude towards people like Kelsey that want to help others achieve what a lot of women want, the chance to be a mother, the chance to see the man they love be a father, and for me personally, see my wonderful Father be a grandfather. "

Maverick's Miracle Babies Foundation (MMBF) is a non-profit organization that helps families with their infertility treatments. MMBF provides grants every three months to families facing fertility complications. Each grant is worth up to $20,000 and is used until the couple is able to successfully conceive.

After being diagnosed with Poly-cystic Ovarian Syndrome, co-founders, Tim and Kelsey Edwards, experienced firsthand the struggles and expenses associated with infertility treatments. "We understand the pain, the heartache, and the hope that goes along with infertility struggles. We understand what these couples are going through, and we want to help," said Kelsey Edwards.

It is largely unknown that infertility is such a common problem for families in America: one in six couples face infertility challenges. Typically, the expensive treatment options and procedures are not covered by insurance, making these choices, for many couples, too costly to consider. "Vanessa and Mark had exhausted every resource they had available in hopes of conceiving. Their commitment to fighting for a child of their own, and their kind and generous nature, showed us just what amazing parents they would be" said Kelsey Edwards. "We are so happy to award them the Q3 Procreation Grant."
