    BARSTOW, CA, September 26, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Richard Smith, Military Anaylst II for Applied Systems Technology, has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in military analysis.

Mr. Smith served in the United States military for 22 years as an active duty electronics specialist and retired as an E-8 Master Sergeant. Since his retirement, he has continued to apply his expertise in military analysis. With 51 years of overall experience in his field, Mr. Smith has reigned as a military analyst II at Applied Systems Technology for the past six years.

In his role with the software development company, Mr. Smith trains groups, reports on battle scenarios, and manages indirect fire missions. Drawing on his educational background, which includes coursework in technical studies, a certification as an electronics technician and fire support specialist, and a Six Sigma certification, he has become an expert in the replication of fire support activities. Through his work with Applied Systems Technology, Mr. Smith provides management consultation and software development for the staffing industry. He also remains in constant contact with the United States Army, serving as a source of support to military controllers.

In the year 2000, Mr. Smith became more focused on logistical support and sharing his expertise with others in his field. To date, his most outstanding accomplishment was building an entire database using only a Macintosh computer, and then creating necessary spreadsheets. Attributing his success to integrity, honesty, and a passion for his profession, Mr. Smith aspires to venture into the consulting field within the next five years.

Recognized for years of invaluable contributions to the military industry, Mr. Smith has garnered several awards. After his induction into Worldwide Who's Who in 2008, he was selected as a VIP member. In 2009, based on merit and achievement in his field, he was honored as a Professional of the Year and Expert Resource. The following year, his accomplishments were commemorated in articles for Elite American website and Pro-Files magazine. Mr. Smith was also interviewed for the prestigious Elite Radio Network.

Mr. Smith is an avid supporter of California Organization of Police and Sheriffs, Make-A-Wish Foundation of America, and Disabled American Veterans. Away from the demands of his work, he most enjoys traveling.
