LazyLoafer Opens Nominations for Best Irish Pub In Northeast US

    MIRAMAR BEACH, FL, October 16, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- LazyLoafer.com, the Santa Rosa Beach-based leisure activities blog, has begun taking nominations today, Monday October 14 2013, for the Best Irish Pub in the Northeastern United States, CEO Wes Herndon announced today.

Dubbed the "Loafers' Choice Awards," readers of the blog will nominate and vote for their favorite Irish pub in Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine.

Nominations only will be taken beginning October 14 for two weeks. Anyone wishing to nominate their favorite Irish pub can go to http://lazyloafer.com/loafers-choice/nominate-your-favorite-se-us-iri ... ice-award/ to do so. Shortly after nominations close, voting will begin and last for another two weeks.

The Northeastern US competition is one of four regional competitions being held by LazyLoafer. Southern US voting just finished last month, with top honors there going to Lynch's Irish Pub, in Jacksonville, Florida. The Midwestern and Western regions will take place after the Northeastern winner has been announced.

Once all four contests have completed, the four regional winners square off against one another for the Loafers' Choice national championship. In addition to bragging rights, the winner will receive one year of free banner advertising on the LazyLoafer website.

"Like the name Loafers' Choice' says, the loafing public chooses the winner of this award," Herndon said, "not us. We depend on our readers to nominate and vote for their favorites. All we at LazyLoafer do is deliver the good news."

"Ultimately, we'd like to take the contests international," Herndon added. "Who knows, maybe someday we'll have a contest for the Best Irish Pub in Ireland itself. Of course, over there they just call them 'pubs.'"
