Houston Dermatology Practice Celebrates a Healthy Opening in Katy

Dr. Bruce opened the Katy facility at 23510 Kingsland Blvd., Suite 300, and celebrated with an open house earlier this month, when 300 existing and new patients toured the impressive new offices and took advantage of specials.

"This second location caters to suburban residents who are looking for a high level of care but who want the convenience of not having to drive into the city," says Dr. Bruce, a nationally respected dermatologist from the Houston area.

Her practice's original office is in the Galleria area of Houston, and it features cosmetic and medical dermatology services as well as a skin research facility. Clinical research is in integral part of the practice, which has a goal of improving the skin health of its own patients and others.

The upcoming skin cancer screening event, which is open to the public, extends the same type of community outreach Dr. Bruce displays in Houston. Skin cancer is the most diagnosed type of cancer in the U.S., but it is also the most treatable when caught early.

"If you've never been screened for skin cancer, this is an excellent opportunity to establish a baseline examination," Dr. Bruce says. "People who know what to look for, such as slight changes to existing moles, are often the people who get their skin cancer diagnosed earlier."
