ASHFORD, ENGLAND, October 30, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Electrical Counter Company supply electrical fixtures and fittings to all of the electrical trade, and supply anything from the basic standard items to the exotic and the vast range allows them to supply at some of the best prices in the market place. One excellent product that The Electrical Counter is pleased to supply is the Slim RCD (Residual Current Device) Double Socket 13 M Amp Latching Type in Plain White and manufactured by BG in the Nexus Range. This is a great double socket and one of the best of the Nexus range of sockets. It is made in white plastic and is of a very slim design so that when plugs are not inserted into the sockets the protrusion from the wall is very small and the rounded edges and corners give the socket a very smooth and attractive finish.

The Electrical Counter is pleased to note that the BG Nexus Slim RCD Double Socket 13 M Amp Latching Type has a separate switch for each socket and screw covers are provided to cover the fixing screw holes to give a smooth overall surface. The RCD or Residual Current Device has been fitted to cover both sockets so that the moment there is any current leakage to earth on either circuit the socket has a 30 m Amp trip which acts within a minimum time limit of 40 milli seconds. This fast trip out rate will protect all the users against electrocution or serious injury. The Electrical Counter is proud of the attention to detail on the Health and Safety operation of this Double Socket as nothing is left to chance in the protection of the user. The RCD unit has a test point that can and should be used prior to use of the double socket with a red signal that if it stays on after the test then the socket should be isolated and an electrician called to determine the reason. The double socket has a latching system that is such that if there is a power cut this will trigger the RCD and the trip mechanism will work. However when the power comes back on then the RCD system will revert to its original position and the circuit will be fully powered again.

The Electrical Counter note that the Nexus Slim RCD Double Socket 13 M Amp Latching Type is particularly good for circuits which rely on keeping power supplied whenever possible, the obvious example being refrigerator or freezer applications where a constant supply is essential. They should not be used on circuits where the latching facility could be a major problem where it would be extremely dangerous if the power returned unexpectedly; examples of this are such items as outside power tools or garden equipment. The Electrical Counter note that the Nexus Double Socket fits in with the full range of white Nexus sockets and switches and at present the Nexus Double Socket is approximately 25% of its original trade price making it extremely competitive in the marketplace.

The Electrical Counter supply a wide range of electrical wholesale products in the UK such as top quality switches and sockets including steel switch.
