Ms. Schneider parlays her knowledge into her position with Save Historic Arlington House

    ARLINGTON, VA, November 13, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Merle C. Schneider, Trustee for Development at Save Historic Arlington House, Inc., has been recognized by Worldwide Branding for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in fundraising and event coordination.

Drawing on many years of practiced experience in her field, Ms. Schneider parlays her knowledge into her position with Save Historic Arlington House; a not-for-profit organization dedicated to restoring Arlington House, The Robert E. Lee Memorial to its original state of appearance in 1860. They also provide restoration, preservation and the advancement of research and educational activities related to the historic home of the families of George Washington Parke Custis and Robert E. Lee. Over the past four years, in her capacity as trustee for development, she actively fundraised and coordinated various events to showcase the historical importance of the house. Additionally, she promotes the restoration of the Historic Arlington House through social media using both Twitter and Facebook. She attributes her success to her career in the military. She became actively involved with Arlington House when recruited by her next door neighbor, a retired four-star Army General and a descendant of Quartermaster General Meigs of the Union Army.

A shining example of excellence in her field, Ms. Schneider holds a master's degree in human resources management from Pepperdine University in 1977. Throughout the course of her extensive career, she has received numerous awards, including the Defense Meritorious Service Award, the Navy Achievement Award and the Navy Commendation Medal. Looking toward the future, Ms. Schneider plans to continue giving back to her local community by fundraising for worthy causes.
