The GMAC Bowl is a post season NCAA-sanctioned, division 1-A college bowl game that has been played annually since 1999. Previously known as the Mobile, Alabama Bowl, in 2000 the game received corporate sponsorship from GMAC Financial Services, formerly a unit of General Motors.

The 9th Annual GMAC Bowl will be played at Ladd Peebles Stadium in Mobile at 7 pm CST on the evening of January 6th. Playing in the GMAC Bowl will be Bowling Green State University which holds an 8-4 record vs. the University of Tulsa which proudly boasts a 9-4 record to date. The big game will also be broadcast on ESPN from the historic stadium.

Built right after WWII, Ladd Peebles Stadium is the 4th largest stadium in Alabama, with a seating capacity of 40,646. With anticipation of the GMAC's eighth straight sell-out game, the city is sure to be full of locals and out-of towners alike.
