The exhibition immerses visitors in the world of Grace Kelly to discover the life and legacy of the Oscar -winning American actress and Princess of Monaco through costumes, designer wardrobe pieces, personal letters and memorabilia, film clips, and archival documents collected throughout her life. Remembering Grace as a woman of style, substance, great beauty and great compassion, the exhibit From Philadelphia to Monaco: GRACE KELLY- Beyond the Icon reveals her to be everything we imagine and more.

"Saying goodbye is never easy, but the Michener Art Museum's farewell to our Grace Kelly exhibition has a particularly bittersweet tone. With the generous support of our all of exhibition funders, and the cooperation of our Board of Trustees and the Michener staff: its agencies and the literal village of volunteers - this exhibition has enriched the lives of many in countless ways. The crowds who have 'graced' our museum have departed with a greater understanding of who Grace Kelly was: a multi-talented, multi-faceted, multi-dimensional woman who lived her life graciously, gave back to others, and in her memory continues to do so. The legacy of Grace Kelly is enormous and very humbling." stated Lisa Tremper Hanover, Director and CEO, James A. Michener Art Museum.

While the exhibition ends, the legacy of Grace Kelly lives on through the Princess Grace Foundation-USA, which supports emerging artists in theater, dance, and film through scholarships, apprenticeships, and fellowships. We invite you to visit www.pgfusa.org to learn more about the Princess Grace Awards program and how this amazing woman continues to inspire artistic excellence.
