Dr. Mayoor Patel Is Reappointed To Serve On The Board Of Georgia Association Of Sleep Professions

    ATLANTA, GA, May 02, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Georgia Association of Sleep Professionals was established in July 2008 as a statewide association with the common goal of enhancing the quality of human life by supporting an environment in which sleep medicine professionals can provide the highest quality of care to their patients. Dr. Mayoor Patel served his first term on the Board of the Georgia Association of Sleep Professionals (GASP) from 2009 to 2012. After his term was complete, he left the board for two years, but has now been voted back into the Board of GASP by its members.

Members of GASP are physicians, technologists, researchers, students, and sleep centers and labs. Each member brings a unique experience to GASP and maintains the common goal of providing the highest quality of care in the sleep medicine field. Dr. Patel is honored to once again be a member of the board of the Georgia Association of Sleep Professions.

About Mayoor Patel, DDS, MS: Dr. Mayoor Patel received his dental degree from the University of Tennessee in 1994 and completed a one year residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD). He also earned his Masters in Science from Tufts University in 2011 and accepted a position as an Adjunct Clinical Instructor at the Craniofacial Pain Center at Tufts Dental School. Dr. Patel also serves as Adjunct Clinical Instructor in the Department of Oral Health and Diagnostic Sciences at the Georgia Regents University, College of Dental Medicine in Augusta Georgia. He is the only Dental Practitioner in Georgia to be triple-boarded in Craniofacial Pain, Orofacial Pain and Dental Sleep Medicine. Dr. Mayoor Patel has taken well over 1500 hours of postgraduate education courses in the area of Sleep Medicine, Craniofacial Pain, Sleep Disorders and Orthodontics. Since 2003, Dr. Patel has limited his practice to the treatment of TMJ Disorders, Headaches, Facial Pain, Sleep Apnea and Snoring.
