Skin Design Studio Applies Concierge Approach to Cornerstone OnDemand New Office

    LOS ANGELES, CA, May 08, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- SKIN Design Studio was hired by Los Angeles based Cornerstone OnDemand to transform their office into a client-friendly space that reimagines how people work and enhances productivity and connectedness.

Notable for its experience in luxury hospitality design, SKIN Design Studio worked to integrate hospitality philosophies into the corporate environment. Areas in which the design reflects this include the creation of an inviting environment with large naturally lit, open spaces and multiple lounge type spaces such as the reception/concierge area, meditation room and cafe media theatre. These unique areas have created a diverse work environment, which seeks to empower employees, unify connections and offer an all around work-life balance.

A green design was the platform for SKIN Design Studio as Cornerstone's building held a LEED 0+M: Existing Buildings Gold Certification. This led to smart practices regarding the specification and application of materials. In an effort to stick to a sustainable design, SKIN opened up the existing space as much as possible. "By using a minimum of dividing partitions and ample amounts of glass walls, we maximized the amount of natural sunlight and reduced the need for artificial light, " says Deniece Duscheone, Principal of SKIN Design Studio.

Relating Cornerstone's business philosophy to first class concierge hospitality, SKIN Design Studio reimagined the client experience through the office much like a guest's journey through a five star hotel. The design is so spectacular that it has been nominated for a 2014 Calibre Award. The Calibre Awards, taking place this Friday at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza Hotel, are presented by the IIDA (International Interior Design Association), and recognize and honor projects that exhibit a high level of teamwork paired with stunning design.
