HOUSTON, TX, May 12, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Allied Advocates Foundation (AAF) recently held its Second Annual Clays on the Brazos sporting clay tournament at the Rio Brazos Hunting Preserve in Simonton, Texas.

The event raised more than $90,000. The net proceeds will benefit Peach Outreach, a nonprofit organization that raises awareness about uterine cancer and other gynecological cancers. Peach Outreach also raises funds to support cancer research, treatment, and education about early detection.

Clays on the Brazos is a sporting clay tournament hosted by AAF, a charity organization started by five Texas attorneys who sought to give back to the communities that have supported their legal practices. The primary purpose of AAF is to raise funds for local charities.

"Given the rise in cancer statistics and the heartbreaking effects it has on families, it was important to us to find a local charity working hard to fight this disease," AAF officials said. "After considering several organizations, AAF decided on Peach Outreach in Houston, Texas."

Peach Outreach will receive 100 percent of the net proceeds from the 2014 Clays on the Brazos tournament. Last year's inaugural Clays on the Brazos tournament raised over $50,000 for Returning Heroes Home, an organization that supports wounded veterans and their families at Fort Sam Houston and Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio.
