Colin David Ford Honored for Excellence in Communications

Mr. Ford motivates L'Oreal's teams around the world

Mr. Ford has 45 years of professional experience, with two years as an international education director of L'Oreal Professionnel

RANKIN INLET, NUNAVUT, CANAD, May 15, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Colin David Ford, International Education Director of L'Oreal Professionnel has been recognized for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in team building and communications.

Mr. Ford has 45 years of professional experience, with two years as an international education director of L'Oreal Professionnel. Over the years, he has established himself as an expert in the fields of team building, communications and keeping his staff motivated. On a daily basis, he is responsible for overseeing the educational division of the company, including creating educational support for L'Oreal Professionnel Educators worldwide as well as the educational support for salon product launches.

Mr. Ford has set himself apart from other professionals in his field largely through his extensive experience both in the private sector as well as the corporate sector. He understands both areas well and has developed successful teams in both environments. As he puts it, "there is a wide gap between the salons and hairdressers of the industry and the corporate giants who provide the products and services. I have developed the ability to be the connector between the two, thus enabling both parties to succeed."

Throughout his career, Mr. Ford has finely honed his natural ability to develop teams, and he operates with the knowledge that each person is a vital component to the success of any team. Taking this belief to its logical extreme, Mr. Ford endeavors to support each team member to become all that they can be and reach their fullest potential. In this way, the team grows stronger, and as a result, the company grows stronger.

Looking back, Mr. Ford attributes his success to his great role models, in addition to his drive. He became involved in his current role with L'Oreal due to of his prior experiences in the field. He started hairdressing at the age of 15. Mr. Ford received a hairdressing trade certificate from the Waikato Institute of Technology in 1973. In the years to come, he hopes to continue his professional success through the ongoing support of the salon industry.
