ARLINGTON, VA, May 31, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Nowadays it's easy to get the smile you always dreamed of. That's because cosmetic services are in demand amongst the general population, not just for the Hollywood elite. Among the most in-demand cosmetic treatments is veneers.

Veneers can be made of composite resin or porcelain. Both dental materials appear natural looking alongside real teeth, but there is a slight difference between the two. Composite resin material is thinner compared to porcelain veneers, so less of the tooth's surface needs to be removed. Porcelain veneers are also more stain-resistant.

While porcelain and composite resin differ slightly, they both still produce esthetically appealing veneers because they are synthetic by nature.

"The most important thing to a patient finding the right material and veneer placement is his/her active participation. We need a patient's input to figure out the best way to shade, shape and bond the veneers. That's why we use synthetic dental veneer materials in Arlington. It's quite easy to alter the look and shape of the custom shells," explains Dr. Gregory, family dentist in Arlington.

Synthetic materials used in dentistry are improving the look of custom shells and dental crowns. The easier it is to manipulate the shade and shape, the better it will appear on the smile.
