CHANDLER, AZ, July 01, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Janet Kiefer, Chief Executive Officer of JKiefer TALES, LLC, has been recognized by Worldwide Branding for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in her life's work of education.

For 43 years, Ms. Kiefer worked in special education, conducting parental training in early intervention and early childhood special education in the states of California, Oregon and Arizona. She had dedicated her life to making a difference through teaching. She recently retired from that field, and has wrote and published her first children's book, which intends to teach children to put aside their emphasis on materialism and help each other. Since starting her second career four years ago, Ms. Kiefer has been writing, storytelling, and publishing children's books featuring valuable life lessons, while continuing to work with children and conduct parent training.

Ms. Kiefer became inspired to write when her first grandchild, Lilah, was born. She wanted to be able to tell her grandchild the stories that her grandmother told her mother, and her mother told her growing up. Her book debut was in March 2012, in Old Town, Alexandria, Va., at Hurray for Books. She is also the author of "Can I Play with You?" whose message is to never give up "Curious Freckles", a tale of friendship, loyalty and innocence. In the future, she plans to publish more children's books, grow the business and gain consulting opportunities.

Successful in her fields because of her dedication, Ms. Kiefer is always driven to do a good job. She also credits the fact that she has always believed that people who learn differently have the right to the same privileges and access to personal success. The most gratifying aspect of her career has been seeing her students achieve success, especially when they do not think they can.

It seems that Ms. Kiefer was predestined to a career in education. At 7 years old, she saw the movie "The Miracle Worker" and was inspired by Annie Sullivan. And after experiencing an event involving students with Down syndrome, Ms. Kiefer was led to serve the population of the community with special needs.

Ms. Kiefer enhanced her teaching skills with an extensive education. She earned a Master of Arts in education, with a concentration in elementary education and severe and profound disabilities from California State University in Los Angeles (1977), and a Bachelor of Arts in general humanities from Santa Clara University (1975). She also added certifications for working with children in elementary education, severely handicapped, moderately handicapped, resource learning and disabilities.

Ms. Kiefer's efforts have garnered her numerous awards, including a Jesuit scholarship from Santa Clara University (1974), a full Fellowship from California State University (1975-1977), and being named in the Who's Who of American Teens (1971). Now she is striving to win a Newberry Award. She has also been active charitably, serving as a newborn care volunteer at the Banner Desert Medical Center.

JKiefer TALES, LLC is a children's book publisher that also provides handmade greeting cards and consulting services. For more information about Ms. Kiefer's books, which can also be purchased as ebooks, and to read her blog on issues of interest to parents, grandparents, and teachers of birth to five year old children, visit Jkiefertales.com.
