Proto's Pizzeria Napoletana Named Best of the Best in Longmont by the Readers' Choice Awards in 2014

Homesick for delicious pizza, Pam Proto opened her pizzeria 15 years ago and has since successfully expanded it.

BOULDER, CO, December 23, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Pam Proto, Owner of Proto's Pizzeria Napoletana, has been recognized for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in business ownership and customer service.

With many years of invaluable contributions to her industry, Ms. Proto has been allotted professional success as the owner of Proto's Pizzeria Napoletana, a food service company with six different restaurant locations in Colorado and Idaho. With a knack for providing top-quality hospitality and treating her customers like family, she has successfully been overseeing all of the day-to-day business operations at all of her restaurant locations for the past 15 years.

It all started when Ms. Proto moved from Boston, Mass. to Boulder, Colo., and found herself homesick for a traditional, thin-crust, bubbly pizza pie. She knew that if she wanted the tastes and smells of the delicious pizza on the east coast, she'd have to open her own pizzeria. Soon after the doors of the first location in Longmont, Colo., opened in 1999, her restaurant began to receive many recognitions, including Top Neighborhood Restaurant by Bon Appetit, Best Pizza and Best Cannoli by 5280 Magazine, and Best Pizza by Longmont Times Call. Additionally, Proto's Pizzeria Napoletana was recognized for the Best Pizza by the Daily Camera, Westword, Denver Post and Boulder Weekly. Remarkably, the company was named Best of the Best in Longmont in the Readers' Choice Awards in 2014, and was listed among Denver's Best Restaurants in 2013.

A shining example of success, Ms. Proto attributes her success to her vision, dedication, and great support from her staff and colleagues. She received a Bachelor of Arts in journalism from the University of Massachusetts. She has recently been inducted into the Worldwide Registry and maintains affiliation with her local chamber of commerce. With a desire to give back to those in need and share her abundance, she founded the 3L Foundation, a not-for-profit organization that works with children in Thailand who have been abused, neglected and trafficked. She also works with other charitable organizations, including Meals on Wheels. In the next five years, Ms. Proto expects to have continued growth with her restaurant chain and will eventually expand her charitable work with the 3L Foundation and other not-for-profit organizations.
